The world of The Chronicles of Spellborn, as you will be able to experience it yourself in-game, is the result of a long chain of cataclysmic events and almost forgotten stories. In this new feature we will reveal some of these key moments of old along with all the protagonists involved in this troubled past.
Each week, you’ll be introduced to a new period of the timeline, accompanied by concept arts and details on the main items of said period.

The Chronicles of Spellborn now has its own official channel on myGamersVideos, the freshly launched gaming-focused video portal of OnlineWelten, one of the largest online communities for interactive entertainment.
Fans of virtual worlds, machinima and other video content inspired by games can now share their favorite videos (up to 500MB in size) with the community in just a few easy steps. In addition, you can create and join 'Personal Groups' devoted to specific topics, such as trailers or in-game scenes from certain popular titles. By simply creating a group and inviting your friends, you can share favorite videos in minutes.
Spellborn Welten already has its own Spellborn group - sign up, upload and watch all your favourite Spellborn movies there!

Fresh out of the Spellborn oven comes this new batch of Screenshots taken by some of our Community Beta Testers.
In these shots you'll see different areas of the game such as zones located on the Shard of Parliament and Quarterstone as well as some hostile humanoid factions which are scattered all over these Shards.

Spellborn @ RPC Münster!

The RPC (Role-Play Convention) made a big step forward since the last year, particularly on Saturday the convention was very crowed and well attended. On Sunday, due to the sunny weather, most of the visitors were outside at the Medieval Fair, enjoying some RP-battles as well as some music provided by really cool German bands (excellent German beer was flowing).
The inventive concept of bringing together different aspects of role-playing, like Trading Card, LARP, Table Top and Computer games is pretty successful. This mixture of great costumes, the medieval fair, the armoury booths and of course computer and videogames received a great feedback from the visitors as well as the exhibitors.
The Chronicles of Spellborn has been very well welcomed and spawned lots of interest during RPC.
We had six Ultraforce-Design Computers, on which the game was running the Beta. Players enjoyed Character creation and combat system a lot, these 2 features receiving a great feedback. Graphics and Atmosphere were very praised as well. People couldn’t believe the Unreal Engine 2.5 could deliver such amazing sceneries.
In comparison with some other MMORPGS already (or soon) released, the visitors particularly loved the shooter based combat system and how fast-paced and real-time it was.
In conclusion, it was a very successful Convention for Spellborn.To get some more impressions, make sure to check the pictures in the forum thread linked below!

New TCoS Beta Video: A fine day in Midlands!

Some time ago, you had the chance to meet Raznilof, the powerful Runemage, during one of his first adventures in the world of The Chronicles of Spellborn.
Today, he's back in business, being higher-level and he's setting foot in the Midlands, zone located on the Parliament Shard. In this video, you'll get some information on the PeP System (Personal Experience Point), which is different from the Fame, used for leveling up.
PeP is gained through combat (PvE) and grant permanent buffs to your character (making it faster, stronger and more resistant), providing you don't die.

Spellborn Design Computer hits the stores!

Fans anticipating The Chronicles of Spellborn are now able to order an attractive design computer from the computer manufacturer Ultraforce. The gaming machine features an attractive Spellborn design and is equipped with assorted branded components. Together with the gaming machine, customers get a gift coupon for the upcoming release version of the fantasy MMORPG.

TCoS Project Update!

Hello Community members !
Today, we would like to share an important update with you about The Chronicles of Spellborn.
After we attended the GDC in San Francisco, TCoS and Frogster have been in contact with different parties regarding the distribution of Spellborn in the USA.
Recently, one major MMOG publisher has signed a letter of intent as a potential partner for the release of The Chronicles of Spellborn in the USA, assuming a time of six months so that Spellborn can be successfully introduced to the US public.
Frogster and we, TCoS Devs, decided to use this extra time to improve our server architecture as well as apply further polish and balancing.
Thanks to this additional development time, we will make sure that the flow of the gameplay and the performance correspond to the high quality expectations for the game even with high numbers of players.
The launch of Spellborn is now estimated to take place in Autumn 2008, simultaneously in Europe and in the USA.
Our current Beta planning remains the same, and our tester pool has been increased by one hundred community members recently, ramping up towards bigger numbers as more testing needs arise.
To conclude, we will make sure to reveal the USA partner as soon as a final deal is signed, but in the meantime, keep on being active and helpful to the community, for it’s your best chance to participate in the Beta test and make Spellborn an even better game!
